Overview
Perfect haven set against the exotic backdrop of Havelis, Forts,
Temples and cenotaphs - The Desert Resort is recreated in the style
of a typical Rajasthani village and is peopled by camels, peacocks,
birds and Khejri trees. It is one place where the guests can find
the aesthetic charm of the rural without compromising on luxury or
comfort. |
Rooms
The hotel offers 60 well furnished and air conditioned rooms
including cottages and spacious deluxe suites. Each cottage and room
is furnished in a distinctive style and has a sitting room and a
spacious bathroom, complimented by woven fabric and hand-made
pottery. The exteriors are decorated with traditional lime-paste
“MANDANA” or rice-flour patterns which are redone daily by women
from the village, while the interiors are ornamented with
mirror-work and glass beads in myriad colours. All the rooms are
replete with modern amenities like attached baths, running hot and
cold water, telephones and round the clock room service. The Resort
also has special rooms and deals for the Handicapped.
Cuisine-
Resort Serves authentic Rajasthani cuisine served in traditional
earthenware. Apart from rajasthani, the guests can also enjoy
Indian, continental and Chinese dishes. The hotel also has a well
stocked bar that serves both Indian and imported spirits, exotic
cocktails and mock tails.
Facilities & Services-
Swimming pool, billiards and pool room, badminton, croquet, table
tennis and a nine hole golf course (Browns). ayurvedic massage
centre and bar. The resort also organizes traditional welcome with
tilak and garlands, theme weddings, gala evenings, sand dune
dinners, camel horse and jeep rides/safaris, nature trails, puppet
shows, folk dances and also a heritage walk of Mandawa.
